Understanding the New SCENE to Sphere XG Connection
After uploading a project from SCENE to Sphere XG a connection is established that will allow you to sync changes in the project between Sphere XG (cloud) and SCENE (Local). In the past, we had two disconnected projects, the Web Share Cloud (WSC) project, and the SCENE project.
- Now we have one project that can be opened and modified from:
- Sphere XG
- SCENE
- Stream
- Job Walk app
- A Sphere XG project can contain different types of data:
- Focus Scans (RAW and processed)
- Orbis Scans (RAW and processed)
- Point clouds imported in e57, LAS, CPE…
- Sheets (overview maps) with 360º images
- CAD Models
- In the current state, all the previously mentioned software cannot see all the data within the project:
- For example, SCENE will only see the Focus scans uploaded by SCENE 2024 (or later) or the Stream app.
- Please be aware that migrated WSC projects don’t contain Focus scans in FLS format, so SCENE cannot see the scans within these projects.
