Licensing for the SCENE WebShare 2Go App
Overview
As of 15 Feb 2018, the WebShare 2Go App is no longer being developed and has been discontinued. Discontinued FARO products are considered Legacy. FARO supports Legacy products for the length of time stated in your license agreement. Click here to learn about the replacement product: SCENE 2go.
If you have an up-to-date warranty and a SCENE license for version 6.0 or later, you are entitled to a free license for the WebShare 2Go app. The app is installed when you install SCENE 6.0 or later and can be used with SCENE or SCENE LT. To use the app, you first open a SCENE project and create WebShare Cloud data. Then, you use the app in SCENE to create a WebShare 2Go package. You can distribute the package to viewers who do not have SCENE or SCENE LT.
If you are upgrading to SCENE 6.2 or later, the Webshare 2Go license is automatically updated when you use the automatic update License Manager.
If you are using a version of SCENE earlier than 6.2, in the first seven days you may use the app without a license. But after that, you must contact FARO Support to get a license key or to update your license dongle. You do not need a license to open the WebShare 2Go App in view-only mode.
If you do not have an up-to-date warranty and want to use the app, either renew your warranty or contact your FARO Account Manager to purchase the app.
