When you purchase a Dell computer from FARO, your new computer comes with a three (3) year premium onsite warranty.
This warranty remains with FARO Technologies, even after you purchase the computer from FARO. This warranty can be transferred to your company by going to the Dell support website: (http://www.dell.com/support/retail/u...IdentifySystem) and supplying your Service Tag number. The alphanumeric Service Tag is typically found on the bottom or back of your device.
Where is my Service Tag?
By transferring the warranty to your company you can receive the premium onsite services that Dell provides. This allows for faster repairs and service of the computer if such an issue should arise. The warranty covers parts and labor on the computer hardware. For issues with your computer or any other FARO product you are still entitled to support through our normal channels.
When you purchase a HP computer from FARO, your new computer comes with a three (3) year premium onsite warranty.
Note: No transfer of ownership is necessary.

When you contact HP, have your serial number ready for the representative.
Where is my Serial Number?
Your serial number can be located via the labeling on your laptop, on either:
- The underside or back edges of the laptop
- If you have a removable battery, inside the battery compartment.

The Microsoft Surface Pro tablet included in the Freestyle3D kit has a one-year manufacturer’s warranty. Contact Microsoft Support to register your tablet or get registration information. Here is where you can find contact information.

Once the tablet is registered, you can view the warranty terms online.
If your tablet PC is not working as expected, contact Microsoft directly.
- Describe the issue.
- Obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA).
- Print a shipping label.
- Ship the tablet to the Microsoft Service Center for repair or replacement.
