Error Codes for the USB FaroArm and ScanArm
The following article lists possible error codes for the USB based FaroArm® models. Before attempting to troubleshoot any error code, make sure the latest driver and firmware for your model is installed, as many times this may resolve the issue.

Error Codes
If you are unable to resolve the issue from information provided, create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Codes: 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 1000, 1010
An error between the FaroArm and the USB driver has occurred or the firmware and USB driver combination are not compatible with each other.
- Update the unit’s firmware and USB driver to the latest available versions.
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Code: 11
A connection error between the computer's USB port and FaroArm USB port has occurred.
- Try a different USB port on the computer and replace the USB cable.
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Code: 13
An Ethernet connection failure has occurred between the FaroArm and the computer.
- Replace Ethernet Cable or use a USB or Bluetooth connection as an alternative.
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Code: 1023
The FaroArm has detected an unsupported attachment.
- Remove any attachments connected to the FaroArm and reboot it (cycle power).
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Code: 1025
An internal error in the FaroArm has occurred.
- Rebooting the FaroArm may resolve this error.
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
Error Code: 80000011
An internal Temperature Sensor Error between the FaroArm and the USB driver has occurred.
- Update the unit’s firmware and USB driver.
- Check the FaroArm power supply connections or use the FaroArm with a battery instead of plugged into the wall, especially when using older Gen3 FaroArm models.

Error Code: 8000000f
An error between the FaroArm and the Laser Line Probe (LLP) has been detected.
- Update the unit’s firmware and USB driver.
- Ensure that the electrical contacts between the FaroArm and the LLP are clean.
- Create an Event Log Package as outlined in the following article: Event Log Package (Error Log) Creation for FaroArm. Send this Event Log Package file to FARO Support.
